Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our wool is shorn on farm, from there is makes the journey up to Napier to be washed before heading up to Auckland to be felted. The felted wool then makes it’s way back to Hawkes Bay to be turned into your favourite wool products.

  • There is no exact answer when it comes to wool as it is a beautiful, natural product. We do provide guidelines of how long it takes wool to degrade but there are many factors that contribute to the degradation rates. For example: Wool will degrade at a faster rate in a warm, moist environment compared to a cold and dry environment.

  • Products are sewn use 100% cotton, and our labels are made from paper. Every product is 100% biodegradable.

  • Do you require a custom size or quantity of one of our existing products? We would love to hear from you and see if we can help

  • VM or Vegetable matter is essentially parts of our environment that also end up in the ewes wool. Animals make the most of shade and cover which means that at times you may notice some VM in your wool. Have no fear though, it will not impact your product in anyway!
